An Inaugural Exhibition at Satellite Project Space, a collaboration between Bealart, Fanshawe College, Western University, and Museum London

March 20 – April 2, 2015

Opening Reception: Saturday, March 21, 2015 7-10pm

The exhibition periphery | core presents the work of art students of three London-based educational institutions, bealart, Fanshawe College, and Western University. For the inaugural exhibition of Satellite Project Space, a collaborative new downtown space between these institutions and Museum London, students were asked to produce works that are creative interpretations of the concept of ‘satellite’. Just as a satellite revolves around the core, a key focus of their work in the exhibition is the investigation of relationships and also communication, visible or unseen, between objects, geographical locations, biological entities, and technologies.

In lieu of a closing reception, conference attendees are invited to the inaugural opening reception of periphery | core at Satellite Project Space.

Following Satellite’s reception, attendees are invited to Forest City Gallery’s fundraising event, A PARTY, at 121 Studios (beneath Satellite and DNA Artspace). Expect art, music, dancing, food, and balloons.

Both of these events are a quick bus ride from the John Labatt Visual Arts Centre: take the routes 6 or 13 downtown to Richmond at Dundas Street; walk 1 block west.
